Mary spent the night last night and we watched White Nights. We both fell asleep. We did a dance to Wham Rap '86. It was fun.

Great news! You know how I've been bugging my brother Michael forever to have his friend dub Corey Harts Fields of fire? I FINALLY got it taped yesterday!

Last night at about 12:30AM, me and Mary were watching TV and Walt started talking in his sleep. He YELLED, "OH NO! OH NO! OH NO! OH NO! OH NO!" Then he walked into the living room and sat down.
"You better go to bed," I said.
"Why?" He said.
"Because it's 12:30AM," I said.
Then he said, "Oh," and went back to bed.

I have to go to bed. See you tomorrow.

Last night Kate and I stayed up until 2:02AM. We had a BLAST! We made up this stupid dance, but it was still fun.

Yesterday we took a walk to Pioneer Park. It's getting warm out. Today is Valentines day.

I have AWFUL news! School starts tomorrow.

On this vacation I've been to two slumber parties, started my period for the first time, slept until about 9:30 every morning and had a BLAST!

My locker combination is 22-8-34 and my locker number is 131. Last year's I know better. than this year's. It was 28-2-12. I have to go. Sorry. Wish me luck. Bye.

I can't talk long. The slumber party was a blast. We stayed up until Kate's brother Chris got back from his paper route.

It's 10:52 right now. Tomorrow is Saturday and Monday we go back to school. Booooooooo! I still like Tony Matthews (and Chris Frond).

Today was a great day. The sun is out, it is New Year's Eve, I get to go to a slumber party.

When I went into the kitchen, my mom was yelling at Walt, then later Mom threw away Justin's Christmas present from Mamaw because she was mad at him. She gave us each about three extra jobs. She's been griping all day and all day. She just got done yelling at Michael right after me. As you can tell I'm mad. Now, off that subject.

Last night when we went ice skating it was so fun. I couldn't balance so Will and Brother Fuller helped me. It didn't help much, but it was so fun. When we got back and we were eating, I told Kate I like Tony. I've never told anyone but her. She won't tell.

When I was in 6th grade, I had this friend named Christina. She moved, but anyways one time we played a trick on Rochelle. See Christina just moved in so Mrs. Shields called us up to her desk and told us to go to the office to pick up Christina's books. When we came back, we told Rochelle that when we went up to the desk, I stepped on Christina's foot and she said a curse word and the teacher sent us to the office and we got suspended. Rochelle believed it all. We had to go to the office to get the rest of her books. We told Rochelle DO NOT TELL ANYONE! She promised she wouldn't. When we got back, the people on the other side of the room were talking about it. It was so funny. I have to go.

CHRISTMAS EVE!

I wonder what I'm getting. Selfish, huh, but I'm excited. Next time I write, I'll know everything about what happened. I have the hiccups bad. My dad is watching Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

My parents are wrapping presents, but I can't forget the real meaning of Christmas.

A week from today I will be at a slumber party at the Frond's house for 1987!

December 21, 1986

The slumber party was fun. We danced, sang and played. We only stayed up until about 1:30 AM.

The next day I was babysitting Katie. She was playing and she fell on her face. She was screaming and crying. I thought it was because she was tired or it just scared her. She buried her face in her blanket. When she got up her face was covered in blood. It turned out she had only cut her lip a little, it just bled a lot.

Today we had a program in sacrament meeting. It was boring. My secret sister was Tammy and Tammy had me.

Yesterday was Tempest's surprise party. It was OK. Shannon was talking to someone and she said, "I framed it," and Tempest's little sister yelled across the room, "You're pregnant?!"

I don't want to go back to school Monday.

My mom got my choir outfit done today.

I'm tired. We stayed up until 4:30 and got up at 9:30. So night. Bye.

November 19, 1986

Today I fixed my bulliton board so instead of just Ralph there is Becky, Justin, Mary, Ralph, Abby, Paula, Amanda, Debbie, Rochelle, Mindy, Jenny, Walt, Tony S. and another one of Mary, my calander, ribbon and my pin from camp.

Today in science Dwight and Carrie were arguing and Dwight burst out laughing. Mr. Harris asked what was going on and Dwight said, "Carrie said Hitler was the first to launch a rocket, Hitler was from Russia wasn't he?" It was so funny!

I'm tired so I can't write for long.

In Walt's spelling book it says, "Mary built a _____ of a car." You are supposed to put "model" in the blank, but it looks funny.

Have I told you about Mindy's sleepover? It happened in 6th grade. Mindy had a slumber party and invited Wren, Jenny, me and her. Her little sister had about 12 people over. They were younger than us by about two years. Anyway at about midnight, we decided to scare the younger girls. We went out of our room. We were scared to death as it was. Mindy was in front. Wren was holding on to her. Jenny was holding on to her and I was holding on to all of them.

Emma Martin was standing in her sleep. She was wearing a bright white night gown. She was standing over a heat vent and her dress was glowing and waving and it looked like she was floating because you couldn't see her feet. Everyone started to scream. I looked at Emma and fainted!

August 11, 1986

Sorry, I'll tell you what happened on Aug. 8. I spent the night at Jessica's house so I couldn't talk. On August 9 it was too late to write (I think). On Aug 10 it was 12:30 AM. I had babysat all day.

Today was boring. Walt and Dad went to Louisville today. I mowed the lawn. We went to the wholesale price club. Michael got a ghetto blaster and I got a gym bag. He tapped the Whitney Houston tape for me.

I love Ralph Macchio.

Tomorrow I'm going to Eagle Creek with the youth group.

Michael gave me his old tape recorder. It just broke. The rewind button just popped out. Oh well. Tomorrow I might get it fixed. Good night. zzzz

August 7, 1986

Tomorrow I'm getting a perm from Mrs. Roberts. Mom went to Columbus to pick tomatoes today, so me and Michael stayed home for three hours.

I played with Jessica at the park.

Tomorrow Melinda and I are spending the night at Jessica's.

I don't want school to start. I like being lazy.

The Vincents just drove up. I don't know why. Oh yay, to give back our lawn mower.

Last night Mary and I stayed up to about 4:30. Mary's family has 7 kids. 5 girls and 2 boys.

Tomorrow I'm going to get a watch.

I got a painting from my grandma Ferris. It has 3 little ballerinas.

I'm watching Wizard of Oz for the millionth time. Dorothy just met the scarecrow.

It's 9:49. It's so hot!

There's a boy at church who likes me. He asked me to go with him 3 times. His name is Tony Matthews. I don't think I like him. I LOVE it when boys like me.

I DON'T want to go back to school. I'll be in 8th grade.
