Hi. Today in mutual, the Beehives went to Sis. Carter's house and made pizzas. It was fun, but I'm so stuffed, if you poked me with a pin, I'd pop.

I have to go to bed soon. It's after 10 o'clock.

Today is the one year anniversary of the tornados that struck in Mooresville and Waverley. Neat, huh.

I just got my hair cut. It's SHORT. Today I got a new lamp.

Hi. Today Rochelle and I went to mutual for a service project. Linda said we have to wash all of the silver in the kitchen or wash all of the toys in the nursery. Then she said the real reason we are here is to have a victory party! It was fun.

Wednesday I woke up in the morning. I didn't want to go to school because first period I had a big paper due that wasn't finished, second period I had a chapter review due, and it wasn't done. In third period I was supposed bring all this junk for lab, and I didn't have anything to put it in so I was going to get an F. In fourth period I had a BIG math assignment to do. In fifth period I had singing tests. In sixth period I had to turn in my math, and seventh and eighths were ok.

Ok, it turned out that I got my assignment done for first period. In second I found out it wasn't due until Friday. In third, my lab partner brought most of it. We borrowed people's extras, and got it done. In fourth, I just barely got it done. In fifth I got an A on my singing test. In sixth I got my math turned in ok.

Now for the BAD news. Some of the boys at our school, mainly Johnny Pike, Mindy's heart throb, and some other boys got caught with drugs. Mindy was so depressed about Johnny.

I have to go to bed now.

Today was a great day. Nothing different, just a great day.

Today after school Rochelle said, "Is is OK if I go to mutual with you tomorrow?" It made me feel so good. She really likes it.

The missionaries came for dinner and family home evening. We have an elder from Scotland. He talks so neat. Last time he visited, he picked up Justin's gun and said, "Oh my eck!" (heck)

Hi. Guess what! At the basket ball tournament yesterday our team won the championship!! Finals are soon. 

Yesterday I was supposed to get home at about 2:30 PM when my parents got home from Chicago. Instead my parents go home at about 9PM and they got home before any of us got back. 

I still don't believe WE ACTUALLY WON!!!!

I'm very tired so I think I'll go to bed.

Hi. Today was a GREAT day. I went to a surprise party for Tammy. It was so fun.

Today in school I didn't have my science done, and it just so happened that we were taking these easy tests so we skipped third period which is science, so I got it done in study hall.

Tomorrow is the basketball tournament. I can't wait! Rochelle is coming.

At Tammy's party we played poor pussy. That's where one person gets in the middle of a circle of people. The one who is in it goes to one person, and goes to them on their hands and knees and meows. The person has to say "poor pussy" and pat them on the head without laughing. If they do, they have to be the poor pussy.

Hi again. Today Rochelle came to basketball practice. She is so good. The tournament is Saturday. We have to be at the church at 6:30 AM *groan* That's also the day of the temple trip for Mom and Dad.

February 3, 1987

Hi again. I'm almost done with my wagon. I have one more wheel to do, then put them on and I'm done.

Rochelle came to mutual tonight. It was fun. We made Valentine tarts. They were good.

It's just perfect. I get my allowance on Friday and I don't have to do anything over the weekend.

It's been so boring. There's nothing to write in here. Nothing's new in school. Just the same old thing, except we now have an A and a B lunch, but that's big news, huh.

Gym is fun. We are playing volley ball. I'm awful at it, but I'm probably the only one who has fun.

This is a stupid song. I'm listening to "Night Light Love Songs" on WENS.

We might move to Houston, Texas. If we do, I'll die. I don't want to move. I'd have to leave all my friends, there's no winters and winter is much better than summer. On the bright side, we could get a better house and we would be close to the Gulf of Mexico. Mom said, "Just think, you won't get off for snow days, you'll get off for hurricanes." Great, huh. I DON'T WANT TO MOVE!

Hi! First I'll tell you about what Tony said. Michael told him that I like him, and Michael said that Tony said he kind of thought that, but I think he still likes me.

Second, me and Michael went to a stake fireside. It was BOARING! We didn't even have food, but it was still pretty fun.

We are supposed to have a snowstorm of 4-6 inches, but it is delayed. HOPE + PRAY THAT WE GET OFF SCHOOL TOMORROW!

Yesterday I was VERY, VERY, VERY upset that I couldn't go to Youth Conference. Today I asked dad if I could go. Oh, I forgot to tell you why I can't go. It's because of a family reunion in Massachuchettes. Everybody will be there, but I still wanted to go to Youth Conference BAD. Dad said I would go to Youth Conference and fly to Massachuttes when conference was over, but it's not definite. I hope it is and I can. Right now!

PRAY FOR NO SCHOOL TOMORROW! I hope it snows all night. See you tomorrow.

Sis. Bergstrom had a baby boy.

Yesterday Mary spent the night. We only stayed up until about 2:00 this morning. I just babysat Katie Gary. She's so sweet.

You know we could have a snow storm tomorrow. I hope so.

OK, today was Michael's basketball tournament, so I told him to tell Tony I like him, but I haven't asked Michael if he remembered. I hope so.

I'm finally getting over Ralph Macchio. That's just because I like Corey Hart.

Tomorrow is church so Michael won't forget, if he did today, so I'll tell you what happenes.

Hope for 2 things:
1.) Mike likes me
2.) We get a BAD snowstorm and can't go to school tomorrow

Today was a great day. The sun is out, it is New Year's Eve, I get to go to a slumber party.

When I went into the kitchen, my mom was yelling at Walt, then later Mom threw away Justin's Christmas present from Mamaw because she was mad at him. She gave us each about three extra jobs. She's been griping all day and all day. She just got done yelling at Michael right after me. As you can tell I'm mad. Now, off that subject.

Last night when we went ice skating it was so fun. I couldn't balance so Will and Brother Fuller helped me. It didn't help much, but it was so fun. When we got back and we were eating, I told Kate I like Tony. I've never told anyone but her. She won't tell.

When I was in 6th grade, I had this friend named Christina. She moved, but anyways one time we played a trick on Rochelle. See Christina just moved in so Mrs. Shields called us up to her desk and told us to go to the office to pick up Christina's books. When we came back, we told Rochelle that when we went up to the desk, I stepped on Christina's foot and she said a curse word and the teacher sent us to the office and we got suspended. Rochelle believed it all. We had to go to the office to get the rest of her books. We told Rochelle DO NOT TELL ANYONE! She promised she wouldn't. When we got back, the people on the other side of the room were talking about it. It was so funny. I have to go.

The slumber party was fun. We danced, sang and played. We only stayed up until about 1:30 AM.

The next day I was babysitting Katie. She was playing and she fell on her face. She was screaming and crying. I thought it was because she was tired or it just scared her. She buried her face in her blanket. When she got up her face was covered in blood. It turned out she had only cut her lip a little, it just bled a lot.

Today we had a program in sacrament meeting. It was boring. My secret sister was Tammy and Tammy had me.

Yesterday was a boring day. Today I fell asleep in History. Today was boring. I can't wait until Christmas.

Today I got thinking, what if I was going to move to Houston, and what my friends would do, and how much I would miss them, and what it would be like never to see Mary, Kate, Susan, Tony, or Jane or anyone else here again. I would die! And never to have activities with my youth group again, or never going to Grandma and Grandpa Day's house on Sundays. It would be terrible!

You know I still like Tony. I keep staring at him but he doesn't seem like he likes me anymore. I keep talking about him here, but nobody knows I like him.

I bore my testimony in church today.

I love ALL my friends and my Tuesday night activities and I NEVER want to move.

My secret sister gave me stationary with a poem in a different color on each page. I love it. You won't believe it, I like Tony Matthews a lot. I keep writing his name everywhere and not knowing it. I hope he still likes me as much as he used to.

I have to go soon. My Grandma's still here.

I might have to go to the family reunion OR Youth Conference, oh no! I want to go to both--especially Youth Conference!

I have to go. I can write more when Grandma goes home, but I don't want her to, but oh well. Night.

I've been SO busy lately, I haven't had time to write.

O.K. first I'll tell you about the dance. Is that O.K.? Too bad!

Anyway, I went to my first dance ever Saturday night at the store house. My first dance, November 15, 1986 to "Earth Angel" with Tony Matthews. It was SO FUN!!!!!! When I slow danced, Mary, Kate and Susan were standing over away from us and every time I'd turn around, they would tell me what to do. It was funny.

Oh yea, if you are wondering why I am 13 and got to go to the dance, it was because there was a service project before it and they let the 12 and 13 year olds go, too. That's also why the dance was at the store house.

I also danced with Chris Mills and Jacob West. IT WAS A BLAST!

I also have something to say, but I will save it for last because you will think I am crazy. Believe me! I think I'M crazy.

Yesterday I babysat Katie Gary. She is so cute and so sweet. It was fun.

Now bad news. I have a BAD cold. My ears and nose are all plugged up. But who cares, I'm in a good mood.

November 2, 1986

Today we had testimony meeting in Young Women's. It was the BEST one EVER.

The temple trip was great. Kate Frond, Susan Manning, Mary, and me rode in Bro. Gary's car. It was a blast. On the way home, it was dark and everyone was asleep except me and Bro. Gary, but I was pretending to be asleep. Bro. Gary started whistling his own parts to the songs on the radio. It was SO hard not to laugh. It was kind of cute.

Today in sacrament meeting Justin bore his testimony and his 3 year old friend Jordan Roberts ran to his dad and said, "Hey, Dad, Justin has a testimony!"

I just had a baked apple. Here's how you make them. Cut an apple in half. Take out the core. Put brown sugar and butter on the apple and put it in the microwave for a minute or two.

Sorry I haven't written in forever. School is fun but SSTTRREESS is killing me. Mutual is GREAT. We are going to go to the temple Thursday.

In November there is a dance that 12 and 13 year olds are invited too.

At school we are making gym bags. My friend Becky Hill hit a pin with the sewing machine and it bent the pin. She gave it to me as a joke. Here it is.



We had the ward Halloween party Friday night, and the basketball tournament the next morning.

At the Halloween party Mary got a note from Robert Meyers. He asked Mary to go with him. The note was so funny. He obviously doesn't have much experience with girls. In his note it said, "I had two choices you or Stephanie, I chose you...If you say no I will ask Stephanie..."
